Lecture 5 will focus on the momentum transport of the flow through circular tubes.
This phenomenon down a circular tube isi widely studied due to their relevance to flow in oil and gas pipelines, polymer extrusion, and the results can be extended to fluid flow in rectangular ducts.

The objective of this lecture is to allow students to learn about:
- the derivation of velocity profile from momentum shell balance of fluid flowing through circular tubes ( with cylindrical coordinates).
- the derivation of related flow parameters.

I can understand this lecture better than before as it is mostly similar to the case taught in the previous lecture. There is only a change in the coordinate system due to the shape of the tube. In his lecture, we were required to derive the momentum balance within a short time and nobody was able to answer it during class. Hopefully, sir could provide more time in the next active learning session. Luckily the explanation given by the lecturer was clear during this class. We had our first lab session today on the CFD Momentum transfer in of two immiscible fluid flowing in a tube. Simulation is really useful and important as it could help students to visualise the system and plot the velocity profile etc.
